Dated 2003..
Mohawk Company, Platoon 3.
Happened t0 my bunk mate, Leonard.. I am sleeping on bed 1 and he was tagged bed 12.
It occurred when we were discussing about all the things that happened to us as we are to be "passing out" soon..
Leonard's Story took my attention.
Leonard isnt the sort that would talk alot, he is really quiet and doesnt look the sort that would brag..
According to him, it happened on a normal day (or should I say night?).
Leonard woke up and looked at his clock, he swore, he saw that it was 5.10am, thus remembering that reveille was at 6am that day, he then proceed to brush his teeth and clean up. All those that had been to Tekong knows how the toilets are structured, a huge concrete partition that split the toilet into 2.. The inside cant see the outside and the outside also cannot see the inside..
Leonard went in and started his daily routine only for him to hear the tap gashing out water, naturally he went on and greet whoever the platoon mate "Good Morning" who was in the "inside" while he was in the "outside"..
But there were no reply... (The tap was still gushing, with the tap being pressed each time)
He thought that the guy might woke up on the wrong side of bed and ignored him anyway and went back to our bunk.. He woke us up by switching on the lights and said its reveille soon, but the rest of us, at that time scolded him and pointed to our clocks..
It was 2.40am
He had mistaken the clock hands, it was actually 2.25am when he woke up.
But... ...
Who is that person in the toilet? He swore that he had checked and no one from our platoon went to toilet that night at that time.. No sergeants or officers could have used our toilets as we were situated on the 4th level!
Stories than flew around the company, and it doesnt help to that the company has 2 deaths in the previous batch.
